What does a seat cost — and what does keeping it cost?

Two paths, one roster. Lay off and rehire everyone, or redeploy as many as the open spots allow and let the rest take the layoff path. The model is transparent: every assumption is on the left, every number is on the right.

The breakdown

80 people redeployedDKK 3.600.000
20 people on the layoff pathDKK 11.050.000

Per redeployed person: DKK 508.000 saved · 480 months of external search avoided.

How the model works. Layoff path: replacement cost (salary × replacement %) plus the ramp-up dip (salary × dip % × 4/12 months) for every affected employee. Redeploy path: the internal move cost for everyone who lands in a spot, and the full layoff cost for anyone who does not — because not every unit has enough open postings. The calculator caps spots at headcount and never hides the people who would still be let go. Replace the assumptions with your own benchmarks before presenting the number.
